One side of the American Gold Eagle gold coins, as the name suggests, depict sculptor Miley Busiek’s American eagle clutching an olive branch as he lands in a nest containing a female eagle and her hatchlings. The other side of the American Gold Eagle gold coins portray sculptor August Saint-Gaudens’ Lady Liberty, also holding an olive branch in one hand and a torch in the other.
